Kari was born and raised in Des Moines, and she and her husband (former Lincoln Rails) are the parents to two growing kids (current and future Roosevelt Riders) and two sweet, crazy pups, Bear and Ozzie. She graduated from Truman State University in Missouri. She's been with State Farm since 2003, and has been an Agent since 2007. In 2021, Kari moved her office from Urbandale to the Ingersoll neighborhood in Des Moines, and is proud to be a member of a great community and serve the Des Moines metro from this central location. Kari's passions revolve around community, which she contributes to through her involvement with The Des Moines Westside Chamber, The Avenues of Ingersoll and Grand, the PTAs at her kids' DMPS schools, as a reading mentor at the middle school, and through welcoming mentorship and speaking opportunities that arise with local students and other small business owners.
